CHOCOLATES FOR NORTH TYNESIDE DISABILITY FORUM
Selection Boxes Galore!!! ‘Christingle’ At the Forum
Well, it is Christmas time and what better way to celebrate the start of the festive season than with a selection box…well, a hundred to be exact. This is exactly what fellow Rotarians donated to the North Tyneside Disability Forum, which is based in the Shiremoor Centre, Earsdon Road, Shiremoor.
The selection boxes were part of our Christmas donations for our local community, and in this case, for the young people who use the facilities of the centre.
After the presentation we were treated to an afternoon of Christingle Fellowship with songs, music, singing, mince pies, mulled wine, and of course a Christingle orange, decorated with a variety of sweets all made up by the young people, with the help of their team leader, Sue…the lady with the boundless energy and enthusiasm!!!
It was a lovely afternoon and once again we were delighted to be invited to this annual event that starts many of the Christmas activities with which Rotary are involved at this time of year.
