Networking at the Customer First Centre, Whitley Bay
Last Saturday the Customer First Centre in Whitley Bay opened its doors to host a community networking event. This enabled local organisations such as the Tyne & Wear Fire Rescue, Whitley Bay Photographic Society, Barnardos, Friends of Northumberland Park, Blind Veterans, Cloud Burst Theatre Group, Whitley Bay Rotary Club and many others to promote their groups with examples of displays, table top activities and a variety of demonstrations etc.
The organisation for the day was the brain child of Sylvia Beegan and Peter Ellis from Environment and Leisure who contacted all of the twenty plus groups attending to give us all the opportunity to show the general public what type of activities are available in the local area.
Our picture shows Whitley Bay Rotary president David Wilkinson, with fellow rotary members, Maggie Richardson and Michael Loxley with Lerina Osueke, Customer First Centre Service Manager and Councillor Sandra Graham.
