Rotary at Fiesta Celebration
What a great afternoon we had at the Jubilee Fiesta at St Paul’s Church in Whitley Bay on 5 June!
What a great afternoon we had at the Jubilee Fiesta at St Paul’s Church in Whitley Bay on 5 June!
We started with ‘Name the Giant Teddy Bear’; followed by our traditional ‘Coconut Shy’ and of course ‘Splat the Rat’, which looks sooo easy……..but isn’t!!!
At the end of the afternoon our giant teddy bear had a new name of ‘Cuddles’ given to him by Elisa who discovered it was even bigger than she was!!! The winning draw was made by Rev. John of St Paul’s Church ably assisted by local children and president Liz.
The weather was kind all afternoon and at the end of the day we had collected donations from the three activities to the tune of nearly £300. All of this will now be passed on to local charities in our area, and if you joined us on the day, thank you.
We hope to see you all very soon….as we will be collecting more for local charities at Sainsbury’s on Newsteads Drive on 25 June.
Thank you
