FIREWORKS ON THE LINKS

Thank You from The Rotary Club of Whitley Bay!

The Rotary Club members from Whitley Bay and our president Liz Hayes would like to take this opportunity of thanking all those hundreds of people who gave so generously at the firework display on the Links last Sunday.
President Liz said, "I am pleased that once again we were able to support our local council at their annual fireworks display on the Links. It is so great to be back after the break for the pandemic and the turnout has been fantastic. The display seemed to be better than ever and we thank the council so much for organising this event especially at this challenging time."
President Liz added, "In addition to thanking our council, I would also like to mention the generosity of the people of North Tyneside who once again made such wonderful donations. On the night, we collected £408.49 which we shall now be using to add to our previous collections to support local charities in our area."

 

The evening concluded with some Rotarians enjoying food and friendship at President Liz's remodelled home.

Next month our Rotary Club will be welcoming Father Christmas to the Park View Shopping Mall and we look forward to supporting Santa Claus on his ‘weekly visits to Whitley Bay’.
The proceeds from these collections will again go to local charities.

Once again, the club would like to thank North Tyneside Council for allowing us the opportunity to support them and also for giving us their support in our fund-raising activities in the area.
