Grace House Community Centre - Cambodia
After a recent collection in Sainsbury’s Supermarket, Whitley Bay Rotary club President David Wilkinson was able to present a cheque to fellow Rotarian Godfrey Weir from the Tynemouth Club.
Godfrey, a retired local builder and entrepreneur, has been organising and using his construction skills in the building trade to help build and establish the Grace House Community Centre in Cambodia.
President David said, "I am delighted that Godfrey visited our club to tell us about the plight of Cambodian children and we are pleased to be able to make a contribution to the building programme he has embarked on to house these young people in a new centre."
