Whitley Bay Rotary Club Welcomes a New Member
At a recent club meeting President John Clarkson welcomed new member Jonathan Ryland to the club. Jonathan had visited the club on a number of occasions and was introduced by his friend Terry Took. President John said how pleased he was to welcome him now as a member and would look forward to his contribution to the club’s activities in the future.
Jonathan is well known in the community, not only as a partner in the family firm of R J Ryland Funeral Services, based in Cullercoats but also for his International Community activities.
Jonathan is as a member of Kenyon International and has worked in Thailand, where he spent time supporting the events of the tsunami disaster and the recent earthquake in Haiti 2010.
Now, however Jonathan is looking forward to more local challenges and enjoying the fellowship and community activities that Rotary has to offer.
