Signs For The Whitley Lodge Toddlers
Jane Greenfield and Carol Shields, joint managers of the Whitley Lodge Under Fives Community Group were delighted to be visited by members of the Whitley Bay Rotary Club recently.
Immediate Past President David Wilkinson and club members visited the toddler group to present a cheque for £200.00.
This has now been used to install two new signs to the school premises. One to welcome visitors at the door and the other a long and wavy numeral line, which has been added to the playground in support of a recent Ofsted suggestion.
Jane and Carol said;, "The two new signs look great. One will welcome visitors to the entrance and the other, which is situated in the playground, will help to stimulate the children's outside environment, as it has particular reference to mathematics."
Past President David said he was delighted to visit the school once again and would look forward to the day when his own grand children would be attending.
